Tomorrow (sunday morning) I'm gonna hole up here and not venture out. There was a huge protest march today (estimates 8 to 10,000 people) in San Diego against the passing of Proposition 8. The local news stations are saying that the same protest organizers are planning on taking their activities to the Mormon Temple here in La Jolla (just off the I-5) tomorrow morning at 11.
Earlier this year, a of crowd gay activits stormed a Catholic church in San Franscisco and did everything they could to disrupt and desecrate Mass being held at the time. Where does the line get drawn on such things I wonder?
Most people around the country don't know that the prop 8 passing was just an affirmation of the pervious Proposition 22 from the last elections that said the term Marriage is between one man and one woman- Prop 22 and Prop 8 don't disestablish the existing domestic partner laws in CA that provide all the same LEGAL benefits to gay couples as heterosexual married couples in terms of property rights, health care, and any other aspect of this.
